The Quality Assurance Technician will:
Ensure Quality Control by performing receiving inspection on purchased raw material and components using hand measuring tools and hardness testers.
Performs visual inspection and adhesion testing of painted and planted parts.
Documents and retains records of receiving inspections.
Rejects nonconforming material and initiates Nonconforming Material Reports.
Complies monthly reject report on supplier performance.
Performs calibration of calipers, micrometers, tape measures, protractors, radius gages, pin gages, other miscellaneous gages, and gages built in tool room.
Documents and retains records of calibrations.
Performs and documents dimensional layouts on new parts, templates, and for sample submissions to customers.
Performs dimensional layouts and gauge R&R studies on new gauges.
Uses Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to measure parts and gauges.
Programs CMM using PC-DMIS.
Enters SPC data into computer.
Prints charts for submission to customers with shipments.
Compiles monthly or quarterly SPC summaries for customers.
Documents process capability results.
Prepares PPAP documentation, including flow diagrams, control plans, gage R & R studies, capability studies, FMEA's and layouts.
Uses various software programs, including but not limited to the company's ERP business system, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word to prepare and distribute Quality reports.
Uses VISIO to prepare flow charts.
Performs and documents in-process inspections of products and processes and advises set-up personnel and supervisors of nonconforming products.
Participates with internal audit group and performs internal audit as necessary.
Participates in continuous improvement meetings, makes improvement suggestions and implements as assigned.
Prepares written instructions in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.
Checks parts in stock.
Sorts and certifies parts as needed.
Performs failure analyses of rejected parts and takes corrective action for root cause of defects.
The Quality Assurance Technician, reviews and approves practice sheets and other work instruction documentation for new jobs.
Marks any required changes and corrections to existing practice sheets for submission to Engineering Department.
Enhances the company Quality Controls by assisting and training shop floor personnel to perform inspection, measuring and important quality assurance practices.
Performs other duties as assigned by other Quality Assurance and Quality Control Managers.
Quality Assurance Technician Hiring Requirements:
Must be able to speak, read and write English.
Previous experience of at least three years inspecting metal parts, in-process and finished goods, or equivalent knowledge.
Must be a High School graduate with thorough knowledge of mathematics at 12th grade level.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
, must be able to bend, stoop, climb, etc.
Eyesight correctable to 20/20 with glasses.
Capable of using a variety of inspection gauges including but not limited to:
calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, countersink gauges, protractors, CMM, Rockwell and Webster hardness testers and other inspection gauges as required.
Computer literate.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
